  1. First, check to see if you have the VPN installed on your computer. You can do this by typing “cisco” or “anyconnect” into the windows search bar:

or by looking at the list of programs in the “Add or Remove Programs” part of Windows settings:

    1. If Cisco AnyConnect is installed, go on to step 2.

    2. If you can’t find AnyConnect on your computer, you will need to install it. I will attach the installer file to this article. Download and install the attached file, anyconnect-win-4.6.04056-core-vpn-predeploy-k9.msi

  2. Now connect to the VPN. It is generally easiest to run the VPN program from the Windows search bar, as shown in step 1. Run it. A window should appear that looks like this:

Ensure that the box has either “soonerconnect1.ou.edu” or “soonerconnect2.ou.edu” in it. You may need to enter it manually. Click “Connect.”
    The following box should appear:

Ensure that the “Group” box is set to “Default user split-tunnel,” and enter your OU 4x4 and password into the “Username” and “Password” boxes respectively. Accept the security agreement that will appear. The client may need to update at this point. It will do that automatically. You should see a message that says that the VPN has connected. If you don’t, look in the bottom right corner of your screen for this icon:

Click it and check that the box that appears says “Connected.”

You should now be connected to the campus network remotely and able to access anything from I: and H: drives to software activation servers.
