Scope

We will be using the Collection Discovery feature to highlight UL Exhibits (Past and Present). This will become part of the regular Exhibits workflow in coordination with circulation desk staff. Once an exhibit list is submitted: an exhibit collection is set up, a URL is created, and that collection URL can be used to promote the Exhibit elsewhere.

Workflow

·      Exhibit Collection request created at the Discovery Services Desk

o   https://oulibraries.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6

·      Submission is received

o   Removal Date will be set as an Expiration Date on Trello card

·      Exhibit Collection is created and published to Discover

·      A URL to the Exhibit Collection is sent to the Submitter

·      Removal Dates will be tracked, and expired Exhibit Collections will be removed from view or changed to Past Exhibit Collection.

Things needed from Exhibit Collection Submitter:

·      Exhibit Title

·      List of barcodes or MMSIDs to be attached as a spreadsheet (.csv, .xls)

·      Sort preference for Exhibit Collection (date, title, author, or relevance)

·      Image for Lobby/Banner to be attached (no larger than 100K)

·      Removal Date

What the Submitter can expect from us:

·      Turnaround time of 2-3 workdays once a complete submission is received

·      We will provide an Exhibit Collection URL that can be used for promotion on other platforms
