Interview Funnel

HR’s screening based on our posted requirements and review of candidate cover letters and resumes.

First Interview: 45-60-minute initial call with candidates to discuss the position, answer questions, and get a general sense of the candidate.

Questions are available in a separate file in SharePoint.
Questions Focused on expertise and teamwork:
~ 5 minutes for introductions
~ 10 minutes to ask prepared question set, emailed to candidate in advance, but answered in the interview.
~ 25 minutes to ask on-the-spot question set, not shared with candidate in advance
~ 10 minutes reserved for interviewee questions

Second Interview: about 60 minutes, split between project partners and leadership. An opportunity for our top candidate(s) to meet with product stakeholders and leadership, focused on culture and bigger picture.

Reference Check: contact references and verify the following

  • Reference verified that they were a good collaborator and communicator.

  • Reference verified that they were reliable and self-directed.

  • Reference confirmed the quality of their technical work.
