VLET Meeting Notes for 8/9/2019

Explore

It’s not done. Tim showed the group the demo the contractor has provided. We discussed a few ways that the demo is still missing some functionality; Twila and Chelsea both inquired about the means of publishing/highlighting the library stories and other site content.

Tim also demo’d the front-end, which will only be visible to users maintaining the Explore content.

We are still waiting on Vince to finish the design. There are some concerns about the lack of global header/footer, neither of which really fit on the main front page.

Events

We discussed the workflow and process of publishing events to the site and having them added to the various calendars. We are going to make some changes to the workflow to better serve content creators without making the system more complicated than it needs to be.
