Troubleshooting a Printer

This document goes over some things to try when troubleshooting printers.
Troubleshooting Ideas
Verify all cords are properly plugged into the printer and computer
Double check the Ethernet connection
Visit document Troubleshooting Ethernet Ports for tips of troubleshooting Ethernet ports
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer to the computer
With help uninstalling the printer, visit Deleting a Printer
With help installing the printer, visit Setting Up a Printer
Restart the printer and the computer
Check the IP Address (sometimes it will change on its own)
If the printer IP Address has been changed and is different from what it should be, visit Changing a Printer IP Address for tips on how to continue
Notes
Most printers do not support a connection to computers with both WiFi and Ethernet, it is mostly one or the other
